Magento 2: Manual Rollback via Git

0

I've been wondering what the best way to restore a large Magento 2 store would be. I don't want to use the setup:backup and setup:rollback commands as they seem to result in a lot of unnecessary maintenance time.

I currently use git for deployments and take a database backup pre-deploy, so would it be correct to rollback git, push the changes, and then proceed by dropping all database tables and importing the database backup? Would I need to run additional commands outside of this?

If anyone has a method that works for them, then please share.
